Guardian Angel Cemetery, at 4701 N. Rochester Road in Rochester, hosts a free wine-and-cheese open house for first-time visitors on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 1 to 6 p.m.

Guests can walk the grounds at their own pace, visit the meditation garden, and view bronze sculptures, including a monumental guardian angel figure near the entry whose artist's model was blessed by Pope John Paul II in 2004, according to the cemetery's website.

Complimentary wine and cheese will be served. Preplanning counselors will be available to answer questions about burial options.
