The final Wet & Wild Wednesday of the summer lands on Wednesday, July 29, at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, bringing one last round of slip-and-slides, a fire truck, creek wading, and a puppet show to the museum's grounds at 1005 Van Hoosen Road.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The Kevin Kammeraad Puppet Show kicks off at noon, and water activities start at 1 p.m. Admission is $6 per person ages 2 and older. Children under 2 are free. Museum members get in at no charge. No registration is required.

The weekly series has run every Wednesday in July, and the July 29 session closes out the season. Each week draws families to the museum property for a mix of live entertainment and outdoor water play that takes advantage of the farm's open space and creek access.

What's on the grounds

The activity list is long for a $6 ticket. Two large slip-and-slides anchor the water play, alongside a Rochester Hills Fire Department truck, a foam machine for younger children, and wading in Stoney Creek with water activities run by the Clinton River Watershed Council. The Rochester Public Library Bookmobile parks on site, and the City of Rochester Hills Outdoor Engagement team leads hands-on activities about Michigan wildlife and plants.
