Nine boys lacrosse players from Rochester, Rochester Adams, and Stoney Creek earned statewide recognition from the Michigan High School Lacrosse Coaches Association for the 2026 season, placing them among more than 75 Oakland County athletes honored across Division 1 and Division 2.

The MHSLCA released its all-state lists Tuesday, July 28, according to The Oakland Press. Rochester Adams led the local haul with three Highlanders named Division 1 Honorable Mention: attacker Andrew Myers, goalie Sam Kulasoorya, and face-off specialist (FOGO) Conner Doyle.

Rochester High School's Owen Abrams and Jonah Lanier both earned Division 1 Honorable Mention at attack for the Falcons.

The five Rochester and Adams honorees stood alongside players from Detroit Catholic Central and Detroit Country Day, which tied for a county-high eight selections each. Catholic Central won the Division 1 state championship this spring, while Country Day captured the Division 2 title. Clarkston and Brother Rice followed with six selections apiece; Brother Rice reached the Division 1 semifinals.

Stoney Creek placed four Cougars on the Division 1 Honorable Mention list: midfielders Brek Reilly and Taras Ustzan, goalie Matthew McKenny, and short-stick defensive midfielder Nolan Welch. The Cougars competed for a regional championship during the 2026 season.

Across the county, the MHSLCA honored players at multiple tiers, first team, second team, third team, and honorable mention, spanning attack, midfield, defense, long-stick midfielder, goalie, FOGO, and SSDM. Among the top individual awards, Country Day's Keaton Yearego won the 2026 Mr. Lacrosse Award after surpassing 60 goals and 60 assists during the season. He was also named a USA Lacrosse All-American.

None of the Rochester, Adams, or Stoney Creek honorees landed on the first team, where Catholic Central's Travis Wasen (goalie), Luke Kramer and Peyton Sofran (midfield), and Ty Longo (long-stick midfielder) joined Brother Rice's Brady Salach (midfield) and Weston Cukrowski (defense). Salach also received the 2026 Bob Scott Award, given to seniors who go above and beyond in service to their team, school, and community.

The boys lacrosse season has concluded. No fall schedule has been announced for any of the three programs.
