Rochester Adams and the Rochester Falcons meet in their crosstown rivalry at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at Rochester High School in Rochester Hills.

State Champs! Sports Network will carry the game live on its YouTube channel. The network's Countdown to Kickoff pregame show begins at 6 p.m., with kickoff an hour later.

The Falcons opened the 2026 season with a 21-0 shutout of L'Anse Creuse North on Aug. 27. Quarterback Matt Dyki, a third-year starter, went 7-for-10 for 74 yards and a touchdown pass while adding a rushing score. Defensive back Owen Abrams picked off a pass at the 2-yard line to kill the Crusaders' best drive of the night, the Macomb Daily reported.

Rochester returned nine starters on defense and six on offense this fall. Three-sport standout Nate Tandy scored twice in the opener, once receiving and once rushing.

Head coach Erik Vernon, who has led the program since 2009, called Tandy "the ultimate competitor for us" after the Aug. 27 win.

Adams enters the matchup with high expectations of its own. The Highlanders landed in Oakland County's preseason top-10 football rankings after a 2025 state semifinal run, according to a Patch summary of Oakland Press preseason rankings. The program lists 26 playoff appearances, 12 OAA championships and a 2003 state title on its social media accounts.

Adams opened its season at the Battle at the Big House in Ann Arbor against Romeo on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Thursday's game at Rochester High School, 1361 Walton Blvd. in Rochester Hills, is free to stream on State Champs! Sports Network's YouTube channel. After the rivalry game, the Falcons travel to Lake Orion on Thursday, Sept. 10.
