Rochester Hills families can send their leftover Halloween pumpkins flying down a sledding hill on Sunday, Nov. 1.
The Rochester Avon Recreation Authority hosts its fourth annual Pumpkin Roll at Bloomer Park, 345 John R Road, from 1 to 3 p.m. The free event is sponsored by Genisys Credit Union, according to RARA's announcement.
Participants will roll pumpkins down the park's sledding hill, with prizes, cider and doughnuts available, according to the organizer.
Participants should bring their own pumpkins. The event is open to all ages.
Targets will be placed at the bottom of the hill, and participants whose pumpkins hit or land near a target may win a prize, according to RARA's event page.
No registration or admission fee is required.
