Rochester construction firm Frank Rewold & Sons won the fourth annual Coulter Cup golf tournament, which raised $71,500 to support small businesses across Oakland County.

The charity event drew 141 golfers to Glen Oaks Golf Course in Farmington Hills on Aug. 14. Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter and the nonprofit Oakland Thrive co-hosted the tournament.

Coulter announced the results on X on Sept. 6, writing, "Congrats to @frankrewoldsons for the win!"

Frank Rewold & Sons is a four-generation, family-owned general contracting firm headquartered at 333 E. Second St. in downtown Rochester. The company traces its roots to 1918, when carpenter Frank Rewold was hired by Matilda Dodge Wilson on her Meadow Brook Farms estate.

Proceeds benefit Oakland Thrive, a nonprofit founded in 2023 that connects Oakland County entrepreneurs with free business development resources. The organization gives special attention to minority-, woman-, LGBTQ- and veteran-owned businesses, according to its LinkedIn page.

Oakland Thrive's event page says to "stay tuned for future updates" on the next Coulter Cup.
