Oakland University's women's golf team, three-time defending Horizon League champions, unveiled a 10-tournament 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday, Aug. 18, as the Golden Grizzlies pursue a fourth straight conference title, which would be unprecedented for the program.

The program's announcement puts the Horizon League Championships at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, April 24-26. A fourth consecutive crown would give head coach Heather Fortushniak's squad five titles in six seasons and six overall, extending Oakland's hold on second place in league history for most team championships.

Fortushniak, a two-time Horizon League Coach of the Year, guided the Grizzlies to their third consecutive NCAA Division I regional appearance at the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor in May.

The roster returns key contributors from that championship run. Olivia Hemmila led Oakland with a 76.58 scoring average in 2025-26, earned Horizon League First Team honors and won her first collegiate title at the NKU Jewell Invitational. Lily Bargamian competed in all 11 invitationals, averaging 77.16 strokes per round, and earned All-League Second Team recognition. Both players, along with Grace Boczar, were named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, which requires a minimum 3.50 GPA.
