Rochester Community Schools will start providing transportation for middle school athletes to away competitions in November 2026, with families responsible for arranging the trip home.
The district announced the service on X on Tuesday, Oct. 20. One-way transportation will run through the end of the 2026-27 school year. The district’s athletics page lists four middle schools: Hart, Reuther, Van Hoosen and West.
Families will need to arrange return transportation after competitions.
The announcement did not specify what prompted the change or whether two-way service is under consideration. Families with questions can find school athletics contacts on the RCS athletics page or call the district at 248-726-3000.
