Rochester Community Schools will host its annual college and career fair on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills, according to the district calendar.
More than 85 representatives from colleges, universities, trade programs and military branches will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m., according to the district’s announcement.
The fair covers a wide range of postsecondary options. The exhibitor list posted on the district’s fair page includes four-year universities such as Albion College, Central Michigan University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University alongside trade and career programs like Automation Workz and the Douglas J Aveda Institute. Military recruiters from the Air Force and Army National Guard are also listed.
Karen Malsbury is the district’s director of career readiness and career technical education. The district lists the annual fair as a work-based learning activity and says the fair covers two- and four-year colleges, trades and apprenticeships, military options and more, according to its career readiness page.
Families can register in advance through StriveScan, a tool that is free for students and families. Registration takes about two minutes on a phone. Students receive a barcode by text and email that exhibitors can scan for follow-up contact, according to StriveScan.
Rochester Community Schools announced the fair on X on Sept. 29, encouraging advance registration. Families with questions can reach Malsbury at [email protected] or 248-726-3149.
