Oakland University baseball will open its Rochester field to families on Sunday, Oct. 11, for a free afternoon of food, games and fall baseball.

The program's annual Dugout Day begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Oakland Baseball Field, with first pitch against Macomb Community College set for 1 p.m. Activities include a bouncy house, inflatables, a dunk tank, a cotton candy machine and coloring pages, according to Oakland University Athletics. Free food will be available throughout the afternoon.

Admission is free.

Children who pre-register through the Oakland University Athletics website receive 10 activity tickets. Walk-up guests receive five. Additional ticket bundles cost $5, and an unlimited inflatable wristband is $20. Pre-registering doubles a child's free tickets, so families planning to attend may want to register in advance before Oct. 11.

The fall exhibition against Macomb gives head coach Brian Nelson's squad a chance to play in front of a home crowd. Oakland University Athletics described the event as the program's annual Dugout Day, though the department did not specify how many years it has been held.

The program posted the announcement on X on Sept. 28, encouraging fans to register early for the bonus tickets.

Oakland University Athletics is also accepting donations to support the baseball program at the event.

Parking is available in the garage east of the field and in Lot P26 across the street. Gates open at 12:30 p.m., with the game starting at 1 p.m.
