Oakland University's swimming and diving teams open their preseason with two free public events at the OU Aquatic Center in Rochester Hills on Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Black and Gold Intrasquad starts at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 25. The roster splits into Team Black and Team Gold for an intra-team competition that gives fans a first look at the 2026-27 squad and its newest members.

The 43rd annual Ray Miller Alumni Meet follows at 2 p.m. Sept. 26. Former Golden Grizzlies student-athletes return to the pool to race against the current roster.

Before the Sept. 26 meet, the 2025-26 teams will receive their Horizon League Championship rings. The ceremony marks Oakland's 48 consecutive men's conference titles and 32 consecutive women's conference titles, according to OU Athletics.

Both programs were picked to finish first in the Horizon League's preseason coaches' poll, announced Sept. 9. The men received 47 points and the women 49 points to top their respective polls. Oakland has won the league title every season since joining the conference in 2013-14, with the men claiming 13 straight Horizon League crowns and the women matching that streak.

Sophomore Lydia Soldatke, named both the 2026 Horizon League Freshman of the Year and Athlete of the Year, returns for the women's team. She is joined by seniors Clarissa Bezuidenhout, Delaney Buckner, Ava McNamara, Ariana Rice and Casey Sanders.

The men bring back a nine-member senior class. The roster also includes 2026 Freshman of the Year Cooper Dillman and Finnish national record holder Ajjuub Ezzat. NCAA qualifier Christopher Palvadre departed during the offseason.

Admission to both events is free.

Oakland's regular season opens at home against Youngstown State on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3.
